Here at Robinson Township Smiles, we hate to see our patients experience any degree of oral pain. It is for this reason we do our best to see all emergency patients on the same day they call.
As there are many possible reasons as to why you are experiencing pain, we want to get you into our office for a consultation as soon as possible. During this appointment, we typically perform a thorough evaluation to get to the source of your toothache and then offer the appropriate options to fix your situation.
As a rule of thumb, never ignore a toothache. If you are currently experiencing oral pain, give us a call at (412) 859-3833 to request an emergency appointment.
Here at Robinson Township Smiles, we offer two types of fillings: tooth-colored and metal. Tooth-colored composite resin fillings are able to repair your cavity with a filling that is consistent with the color of your tooth.
Keep in mind a type of filling may be deemed best depending on the situation and what would yield the best results. However, the decision is ultimately up to you, and we are happy to place whichever type of filling you request or discuss the pros and cons of each type if you are unsure.
If you have any further questions or need to come in for a dental exam and cleaning, give us a call at our Coraopolis, PA dental office today.
Your at-home care is essential to your overall oral health! Keeping an efficient and consistent daily routine will increase the longevity of your oral health and will make for smoother dental cleanings.
Our usual recommendations are as follows:
1.Brush at least two times per day for two minutes. Make sure you are brushing long enough by timing yourself next time you brush.
2. Be sure to space out brushing to maintain oral health throughout the day.
3. Floss every evening before bed.
4. Mouthwash is great to supplement brushing and flossing, but never use a rinse as a substitute.
If you have questions, please don't hesitate to call Robinson Township Smiles today!
Seeing the dentist every six months allows us to stay ahead of any potential problems such as gum disease and decay. Dental cleanings remove hard deposits from your teeth, known as calculus or tartar. These hard deposits cannot be removed by brushing or flossing. Six month cleanings allow us to remove these deposits before they have a chance to cause gum disease.
Six month check-ups also allow us to catch decay or cavities before they become large. Small cavities typically do not cause pain, so people are usually unaware that they have them. Finding and fixing cavities while they are small saves you time, money, and the potential pain caused by larger cavities.
If you need to schedule a dental appointment in Caraopolis, PA, please don't hesitate to call us at (412) 859-3833. At Robinson Township Smiles, we always welcome new patients with open arms.
The gradual yellowing of teeth can often diminish one's confidence in his or her smile. Teeth whitening is a quick and easy way to drastically improve the aesthetic of your smile. However, some over-the-counter options may not yield the results you want in your desired time frame. It is best to consult with a oral care professional about what type of treatment will best reach the results you are looking for.
We offer both in-office and take-home professional whitening solutions. These treatments are typically more effective than over-the-counter solutions as we are able to dispense stronger and more effective whitening solutions.
